McDonald’s — Brand building

Timmins+Whyte have been working as lead consultant and interior designer with McDonald’s Development Group Australia for the past 15+ years. This has gained us a wealth of knowledge through the sheer number of sites, structural building types and consultant teams over this time.  Whilst most of our projects have been for McDonald’s Australia we have also designed interiors globally in China (Olympics), Dubai, Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Israel.  Hundreds of projects have been completed by our team for McDonald’s including new free-standing stores, renovations and extensions and new build in-store restaurants in shopping centres, on fuel sites and homemaker centres.

Of the sites we have helped realise, no two have been the same. Some of the more challenging sites, ie coastal sites, tight sights, and restricted sites (slopes, trees, neighbours) as well as integrating new restaurants into heritage buildings, have required out of the box solutions for architecture, signage, and interiors that still achieve brand cohesion.  We were excited to be part of the team that assisted Greenstar with a tool for QSR’s, and delivering the first Greenstar accredited store at Kilsyth, Victoria.

We regularly attend national conferences hosted by McDonald’s and have gained and shared knowledge with both national and international designers, builders, engineers, development managers and licensees.

The National Development Group awarded our remodel at Tullamarine, Victoria remodel of the year 2019.
